My front pent roof matched the cantilever, but the back roof is 6" different. I'm not offended by the change in direction, otherwise I would have mitered. The H-bar would have not met at the corner of the house. No biggie, when I make the corbels to dress the soffit up, you'll never notice.

I picked up the Azek for my 1x10 corners on the first floor, they will get a corbel centered on each side of the corners, just covering the transition bar on the soffit. I think the miter would look out of place between the corbels.
Ahh, but first, the front of the garage, which commences tomorrow. Gonna get funky with the openings on this. Pulling out all the tricks to make it a focal point.

Thanks nEighter, It was a good day of "humping" for sure. They take some time, not so much in the framing stage, but the finish work gets tedious. Azek makes the curves easier to manage. Tarpaper is the only way I roll.

As I look into my crystal ball, I see a man retreating to a very nice space he prepared in the garage.

That is after his future woman kicks him out of the main house he prepared for her.

Lookin good buddy.

I'll check in later and see how many plastic trees gave their life for your future retreat.

That would be the kind of woman I need. One that will punish me to my room full of toys. I'll take two please.

Here's a few more. I guess I should promote my buddy John too. He's been a major contributor to the project.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here,
and say I bet that ugly little box
will be much prettier when you're done.

Neo, I think I could have slapped anything on that wall and made an improvement. I'm going for making a statement. Pictures to follow.....in a week or so.

I'm glad you have Johny to help you out.

The rest of us have our wives.

I could have guessed you would add a couple curves too.

Whats up with the parapet wall on top?

I would love to elaborate on the parapet, but it's a surprise.

Well now, that's not what I had in mind, but it would make a statement.
