Tom, I'm thimking more in the line of one of these. And I'll start with the cutout from the trim I'm making for the circle top in the front.

Thanks Tom, anything would look better than the bubble window that was there. I think I may be going overboard on a mechanicals closet though. My kids use that door for a strike zone when hitting balls in the yard. Solid core 1 3/4" Birch just to be safe.

Fit-N-Finish, that would be me. The poles are still in the air because my garage is set up as my storage/workspace for this project. As soon as I finish the Azek on this place I'm reclaiming my parking space.

Re: The Siding Chronicles.

Tom, I can relate to the up and down of vertical siding. I nailed almost every piece on this home.

Intersting little build out, or down I should say to the soffit left of the door. Looks nice and clean. Good work.

That's an add-on cold air return for the first floor.

That's all vinyl bro. What you see is what you get. Gonna do something with the stucco, but the front of the garage is next.

Re: The Siding Chronicles.

Nice work loneframer. My little terd investment turned out to be something good too. I certainly can appreciate the long term remodel on my house as well! Can't wait to see how it ends up.

The other day my mother-in-law pointed out to my wife that we 'have been under construction for six of our seven married years.' All on that little shack I bought for the yard. Very patient wife.

Ahh.. somehow I missed that. What you doing to the front? Just putting some vinyl on it are you? I need to reread this thread. Any color you are thinking of for the base? I just got my color for my place. Can't wait to get the repair work done so I can paint.

I'm going to reframe the laundry room door area to center the doorway, then add an arch detail to both door areas. Vinyl siding up to the horizontal step in the block, then a wide cornice detail in Azek from there up. Didn't commit to a paint color, but I'm thinking just a shade or two darker than the siding.

I have done many soffits with mitered corners, but I personally don't like the end product, especially with the invisivent product.
