At one time the first floor was an office for a construction company, in the mid 80s, someone put the 2nd floor on it. I bought it in 2002 mainly for the garage, 30x40. The house has become a labor of love, kind of a challenge to test my patience and ability. So far the patience is holding up well.

Ultimately, I'd like to browncoat it and do a skiptrowel finish, or better yet, cultured stone, but painting may be more likely to happen in the near future.

1 PM Saturday, lost an hour moving a forklift this morning. Window trim is up, rolling on siding. Now I have to remove the vent and dress it up.

Vent is gone siding complete. Azek rakes are set, just need to be end cut to meet fascia.

Thanks Tom, gonna dress that window up with an Azek detail, as soon as I decide how I want to treat it. The window is a clay color, same as the shutters will be. Any ideas?

I like the wrap around on the top, I've done that look also. I just might go that route. What can I do to break up the gable some? I'm thinking about some kind of "gingerbread" trim maybe to add some interest to that area.

I'd prefer overhangs myself, but the reward doesn't outweigh the investment in my opinion.

Gotta love them 7 X 22 windowless walls.

Nice clean job

I see you saved the easy side for a Sunday morning. what took longer? setting up the poles on that side or siding it? were you home by ten?

Siding went up quick, the barge board, flashing and soffit took awhile, the old fascia dipped 1" in the center. Azek took a little bit also. There is a closet that runs almost the full width of the wall, therefore no windows. Good deal on a 90+ day.
