Re: Siding

same here

point is it seem that anyone with a pickup ,a break and equipt can get some siding and suddenly they are siders. I think just being on here talking about the things we do, with the spirit and passion ive read in this thread is a pretty amazing thing.
Everybody does things differently and thats great, to be able to share our work with pics and tips is what keeps me coming here
i think very highly of all your opinions,i dont always agree but always respect them

There are "posers" in all walks of life, not just the trades. I have heard of dentists practicing without credentials as well as veterinarians and physicians. Truth be told, they are not what they say they are. There are many levels of experience in every field of construction. In some cases you can get licensed without a test, or at least registered as a home improvement contractor. I know some General contractors who depend completely on their subs to get it done correctly.
Many of us got our education in the field, as I did, starting at a young age, following in my fathers footsteps. One of my favorite quotes is, "For every correct way of doing something, there are 20 alternatives that are not wrong." If the final product performs its intended purpose it is done correctly, if it performs its intended purpose, and looks beautiful, it has been done by a craftsman.
