Thats one of the first things I had to do when I started as a carpenter!
Had a mean,drunk old Polock yelling at me the whole time .
Got good with a jigsaw whether I wanted to or not.

I ended up raising the blade on the tablesaw and doing a Basswood grinder type deal on it from the backside. If you go slow and wittle away at it, you can get pretty good at it.

Looks like a very tight fit. What we do is use an angle grinder and a air chisel.

Do it before the stone. No brainer. Unless it's completely not your choice. Then charge more.

i think the scribed joint looks better than tryin to fit the stone tight to the ceiling,beautiful work as always loneframer love seeing your work
