Schuco, Gorell, Or Park Avenue

I like all three and mainly sticking to gorell but all are nice. schuco is a new company called force 5, anyone here of them? is it the same exact window? park avenue is a nice one as well but schuco has a very pretty weld.

i am not familiar with Park Avenuse but i know its made by thermal industries. Force V Environmental is now making schuco's window. its the same exact window but the company has a new name. i think its a wonderful window. gorel would be my next choice however and its a very close next choice.

one other thing about Force V/schuco, their non impact windows have a DP rating of 70. thats damn good. their hurricane impact windows are obviously higher. their meeting rails and lift rails are reinforced with galvanized steel . can't beat that!

I would stay far away from ForceV/Schuco or whatever there calling themselves. After what Schuco did to there dealers and the quality control they had I wouldn't even consider selling one of there windows.

i recieved some windows with no problem. i hear what you are saying but keep in mind FORCE V is well aware of all the skeptisism and they know they need to prove themselves. that should make them work that much harder. they just invested alot of money and i doubt they will screw it up.

Worked with Gorell a few times but it seems like there are equally good windows out there for cheaper.

I judge a window by two things--

1. Number of product related services

2. Price of said window.

Best bang for my buck has been the Republic. I have installed thousands and had little or no trouble with them, and paid less than $150 for most DH sizes.

I've have also paid over $200 for supposed "Cadillac" top of the line vinyl products and had call after call after call for stupid things like..... balance rod covers keep slipping down. Or Felt strips coming loose. AAARGH.

Both Gorrell and Park Ave are strong marketers, both have similar product levels, and I agree with other posters that you can find very good products, that are equal in materials and performance for less with the ability to service local in your own markets.
