Running TV Cables Under Soffit
Does anyone have any ideas on how to neatly run TV & Phone lines under vinyl soffit? No that I've finished my house I don't want to start drilling holes in all my new trim.

They actually make a special trim piece that snaps onto the soffit panels and it hides the cable wires. If you go to a siding supplier in your area, just tell them that you want whats called a coax soffit runner.

You can easily hide one piece in the J channel or F channel or whatever you have there. By the way, do you have an accessible attic? That would be my first choice. Either that, or the basement, if you have one of those. You can also bury it around the house and come though the wall where necessary.

The cable company in our area just runs them right across the roof, or in the gutter! And to them thats the premium upgrade over just draping them all around the house

I've never known a cable company to ever enter and attic.
Usually it's for a couple of reasons:
1) Insurance
2) They are sub-contracted at $15 per point.. and getting into an attic would take too long.

My cable guy was up in my attic twice last week, and it had to be 150 degrees up there...I even gave him a brand new "Sprint" t-shirt to wear...

Ya, I don't do attics in the summer. If it's 30C outside, it's 50C in the attic. Forget it. I almost passed out once and decided then and there I won't do that again.
