Question for you siding guys
If you were going to do a job on a house, and the old clapboard was in bad shape, what would you do? Would your prefer to rip it off and sheet the house? or would you just go over the old clap?
I'm renovating my house, and I need to decide what to do. Any help would be appreciated. I can post pics if it would help.

Agreed
I'd never put new siding over anything like that, no benefit at all. Strip it off and insulate well and house wrap.

yes work with your neighbor on that one something might have to be torn out and ask a pro in your area that can look at it first hand.
