here is an idea bid on something that you know how to, stick to residential kid, you are the kind of jackass that is making it hard for reputable contractors to get a job cause they are bidding against morons that are low balling cause they dont know what they are doing

mark up

Your mark up for glass does not change for prevailing wage, neither does your metal.
your price for glass is your cost plus what mark up you have been able to bid successfully before, your metal mark up is your multiplier (cost) and again, what you have been successful before.
your labor charge is what the prevailing wage, dont forget the benefit package.
just remember that you are bidding against other glazing contractors, they are buying glass and metal relatively priced the same as you can.
the larger the company, the more volume they buy,the better the multiplier for glass and metal they receive, this alone can be the difference of winning and losing a bid. also, the market will determine what is fair pricing.
If you are bidding a P.W. job you better have your t's crossed and i's dotted,
no monkey business with your employees pay as you will have to submit documented certified payroll, plus your employees deserve to be paid what is posted.
If this sounds too much for you, then you maybe over your head already.
and leave it to the pros.
