Preservation Siding

I have a customer asking about Preservation Collection siding.
I went to the company website and found a dealer a state away. Any experiences would be helpful.

95% sure on this one. I believe that they are part of Alside that has a few top end products just for select dealers. I think the dealers are furnish and install dealers but I might be wrong (the 5%).

Re: Preservation Siding

That's a really fancy website. http://www.preservationcollection.com/ I bet it's real high-dollar stuff.

Since there's no dealer in your state, maybe you can be your own dealer? Once upon a time, I worked for a guy that became the "dealer" for everything he could, just so he could get a discount. Sometimes he actually sold a litte of the stuff, too.

Re: Preservation Siding

Looks to be just like crane board, same R value and insect resistant backer, and same claims on durability. Fancier website though

Re: Preservation Siding

Still checking out the website. They have an energy calculator which claims their siding will save me approx $11,000 on my heating and cooling costs over the next 10 years. I hate how companies use things like this as marketing. Especially companies that go so far as saying a job will pay for itself in X number of years.
