Out Of Plumb Exterior Outside Corners

I'm taking a poll: what's your favorite way to deal with out of plumb outside corners? Do you shim, taper the corner boards, or apply full-sized boards tightly to the out-of-plumb sheathing and try to hide the lean by tweaking the courses of siding? I've been shimming, but I've never been entirely happy about it, from a water-sealing point of view. The whole discussion of tyvek and rain screens got me thinking about this again. Thanks for your thoughts.
