Re: Nailite Repair

To remove the nail lite cut across the damaged pannel horizontaly 2 1/2 - 3 inches in from the non damaged pannels. Be carefull on the verticle cut as it stagers and cut this 2 1/2 - 3 inches away from the inside stagger. The pannel will now fall out where you cut leaving the edges. Gently work the bottom loose and out and cut it in the center. Pull the sides loose but not out. Use a pry bar and loosen the nails holing the top in place. Pull the top down and cut it in the center. Now the pannel will come out.

Cut the lock tabs off the pannel above the pannel your replacing. Cut the lock tabs on the bottom ends 10 - 12 inches of each side on your replacement pannel. Warm the replacement pannel up so its flexible. Flex the pannel into place. Once the pannel is in place drill 1/8 inch holes in the motar lines and nail with a #6 siding nail where needed. Dont go crazy as you wont need too many nails to hold the pannel in place. Touch up where needed.
