Re: Mid America / Builders Edge

when we get mid america from a siding supplier we get screws and plugs, we throw the plugs away

we started using mid america dentile moulding, if i can get it cheaper at HD I would consider it cause we buy it in bulk

Re: Mid America / Builders Edge

I'm missing the point here... So what if Mid america rebrands there stuff. Most of these company's do.

I've never got screws in my vinyl shutters before... I've always used plugs with no problems.

I'll grab a j-block or something from HD when I'm in a rush but my supplier is way cheaper on everything across the board. I guess that's why i'm missing the point here.

It is the same stuff. In fact, I just picked up a bunch of white gable vents that were clearanced at a local HD for $4 a piece!....The thing they (HD) are lacking is color selection.

You couldnt pay me enough to install shutters with those f'n plugs. they either dont go in all the way, or too much, or they get bent and have to be drilled out, ill zip in screws all day long.
