Microposite Siding

Has anyone out there heard about or seen a new siding product called Microposite? It is designed to be a competitor for the fiber cement market, made from a mix of vinyl and closed cell wood fiber. 7/16 thick but half the weight of f.c. three times the r-value, less permeable to water and no harmful dust.
According to the website it is only available in the north east and manufactured in Michigan so maybe some of you guys in that area have seen it?
Thanks for any response!

Sounds promising, no vinyl or wood.
"Microposite siding uses a patented closed-cell technology which results in a lightweight, water resistant and highly insulative product. The product is made from perlite (80%), which is a naturally mined mineral that is frequently used in building materials such as drywall, beams and columns, combined with urethane resins (15%) and fiberglass (5%)."
