Labor Cost To Install Cedar Barn Shakes Per Sq Ft? (fairfield County) CT

Hello all! Im trying to figure out the labor cost of removing and installing new cedar barn shakes on two sides of a house. The material is there, I just need to figure what to charge per sq ft to give an accurate estimate. Any ideas?!

Work is slow up here so I would charge: 3 goats, 2 chickens, 4 smoked hams, 2 carpet remants and a pony keg

If you can get a carton of smokes as an upsell, I would get Winstons

Is it a Big house, or a little house ? Need measurements, more info. Are there any bee's nest involved ? Is the lady of the house attractive ?

This is Fairfield County CT...Lots of Wall Street Trump types live there...So it would be 8 chinchillas, 12 game hens, 10 veal calf's, 6 oriental rugs, and a case of Dom Pérignon.

The upsell would be
real Cubans rolling for you personally.

My guy in CT is taking the dimensions...It is a straight forward job with no bees nests or anything. I am just curious if there is a going rate for labor to install cedar barn shakes. i.e. I've heard its by the Square FT but not the sf of the "house" but by the "board" or shake in this case. Ive done a lot of siding, but have never priced a project myself. I am going to price the soffits seperatley. Thanks for the quick response! this site rocks.

i'll save you the trouble of hoping for a real, accurate answer....ever....

there is no going rate...you need to figure out your actual costs...do a search on this site for "how much" and read the responses...

now, go learn how to estimate, then call yourself a contractor....until you can price the job, you are a laborer...

good luck...
