How's This Window Company?

I recently did a large flooring job for a regional manager for Marvin Windows in my area. Real great guy, and I would like to shoot him some business if I can, but I have no idea about the price, quality, or reputation of their product.
What's your opinion and/or experiences?

Spendy! Very nice though. I just asked my husband about these 2 days ago, and he said they are triple what Milgards cost.

It's the only Brand window that I install, they are among the best out there. yes expensive, but worth every penny. you get what you pay for.
Some people just about pass out when they hear how much a 6' set of french doors is with the SDL option.
I recently had the chance to visit their factory and go through a training class via my local lumber yard. They sent 8 contractors out to warroad, minnesota, this was back in june. I had a good time. It was amazing how they have the factory setup to build these windows and the time and effort the put forth to make sure you get exactly what you want.

The best thing about their windows is they'll make any size that you want for and custom openings, you may pay more, but your customer is paying for your labor to make the opening small or bigger, which is usually more than the upcharge for a custom sized unit.

Marvin windows, you get what you pay for they are AAA. The only problem we have encountered is that when we have run into problems, missing parts, wrong size ect. it takes forever for the service dept to come thru. $130,000k window order, sent 6 cranks the wrong color and have been waiting 4 weeks and counting
The other window company that we use, just call the sales person with a problem like that and she comes out to the site within 2 days, opens the trunk of her car and says "take what you need".

What's the "other" brand, new haven?

Marvin's are good windows now. In the 70's & early 80's they were very problematic. Had alot of seals go bad, moisture problems, causing premature rotting. But then again, that was the era of new window technology. I do like Marvin's wide range of size options & customized options. I am a Pella installer, so I hope my sales rep isn't listening.

Maj, the other company is
Rockwell Window Company Inc.
1001 West Culver Road
Knox, IN. 46534-0130

Phone: 574-772-2955
Fax: 574-772-3824

Their invoices state that they are a: Barber&Ross Company Affiliate
The remittance is sent to a St. Louis, MO. address

Rockwell quoted the $130,000 job and they were about $37,000 cheaper. We have used them for windows and 6 panel doors for about 10 yrs. now and have not had any problems what so ever.
We use Marvin also because they are the windows that architects here spec. When we do a design/build, spec, or even my own house we always use Rockwell.
Hope this helps.

LOL, Sorry to have misled you new haven. I really wasn't looking for help.

When you said that, I was just curious if the "other" company was Pella. That's why I like to install Pella's, because the sales staff & service is so good in my area.
