U.S. or in the big world?

Most of the developed world does not use wood for residential construction that is covered by siding that is hung.

There is a long history of the use of concrete reinforced with some types of fiber reinforcement. It just taks a while to get to the U.S. and interested the fiberglas (original in U.S.) and larger the fabric-oriented fiber manufacturers.
