HELP Triple 2-3/4" Smooth
Searching for a source for 6sq of Triple 2-3/4" SMOOTH vinyl siding. Color white. Only identifying mark on panel is the weep hole is shaped like a Crown. Some say its Royal, Some say its an M for mastic. Anyone know where I can find this? My reps are baffled. THANKS

Re: HELP Triple 2-3/4" Smooth
Depending on the age,it could be Mitten vinyl.
I didn't find anything on their site and haven't used it in 20yrs. They used to carry a 9" T3 panel but I see now it's a 10" T3 panel. |

Re: HELP Triple 2-3/4" Smooth
Patrick your looking for a triple 3 are you not. Certainteen came to mind for 2 reasons. 1: They offer a smooth brushed and 2: heavy panels have deeper channels like monogram might be double four it might measure 3 3/4 on the face. There is another panel that I have in my head but cant remember, I want to Architectural or something like that.

Re: HELP Triple 2-3/4" Smooth
Mastic use to make a Triple 2-2/3 Smooth but now it's a Woodgrain. T-lok Barwood Triple 2-2/3. They have a Triple 3 in Carvedwood that's Smooth.

Re: HELP Triple 2-3/4" Smooth
No Tom I'm not. I am looking for a triple 2-3/4 smooth. I have called every rep from here to Canada, and Finally talked to the oldest sales rep still employed and he was unable to come up with any product for me.
Anyone have an opinion as to how the barkwood would look on one side of a corner and smooth on the other?

There is a product in my mind I cant remember right now but if you are matching something can you narrow down suppliers in the area to what they"used to carry"?

Yes, however they are in an argument is to whether it is a mastic panel or a royal panel. Either case, it is no longer in production.

Re: HELP Triple 2-3/4" Smooth
Before I changed to Mastic I use to use Royal all the time. I check some of the old books I had and found that the Royal Architectural series had a Triple 2-2/3 smooth. It has been discontinue. I would use the Mastic T-lok, at least your butt's will line up on the corner and unless your up close most people won't see the woodgrain anyways.

Re: HELP Triple 2-3/4" Smooth
Checked everywhere, Jim Waters corp hooked me up with a salesman from another company that was pushin 75 years old that talked like Paul Harvey. Claims he checked with his old mastic and royal contacts that can usually scrounge up hard to find stuff to no avail.

Re: HELP Triple 2-3/4" Smooth
Mastic T-lok has always had a wood grain and the weep holes are usally round or M shaped depending on the age of the panel. Mastic tripple 2 5/8 is an eight inch faced panel. You might be trying to match a metric panel if the face is over 8 inches. Mitten used to make a smooth vinyl and was metric years ago ? If its older it could be Sauder vinyl that was made in Canada with a mild wood grain texture.
Certainteed has a smooth trip - 3 vinyl siding. Alcoa Silohutte offers mild wood grain trip-3. Napco has a trip-3. Mastic is the only 2 5/8 profile that we use but it has a wood grain. |
