Help with hardi plank

Hi everybody!

We have a job in Virginia where we are doing the interior work.(doors, casing ect.) This is a hotel,4 story high,124 rooms.
They asked a price from us on the hardi board siding but i have no idea how much would be the best offer in order to get that job too.
The job scale is: ~200 square
-135 window with hardi board trim around them
- plus the caulking
- we need metal pump jacks
They supply EVERY material exept the scaffold!!

Help me out with some numbers on the labor please!
Thanks, Peter

On a typical house one or two story I charge 145 a square. On a building like that with all the extra scaffolding needed pump jacks etc. I would have to charge at least 200 a square. There is obviously a much bigger safety hazzard and you will need more safety equipment per osha. But figure on how long its going to take you to do the job and figure what you want to make per day atleast and see if the math works out to you.

$200 sq. sounds accurate. Don't forget the $15,000 investment in pumps to set up one side of the building. Unless the building is really chopped up, where you can work short sections at a time. I figure one tower for a 4 story bldg. is gonna run 12-13 hundred each, plus pics, worktables and safety attachments.
