Hello?

I thought the purpose of this forum was to exchange knowledge and ideas of what works and what doesn't, what products are worth the $$ and which aren't for us and our customers. Please correct me if I am wrong. Exchanging stories about what we have learned and yet to learn. That is why I am here, we can all learn from each other. When I post a question/comment about fan fold insulation why no response for 24 hours? My conclusion is to go to a different forum. Not much to see here!
Let's use the forum for these kind of issues so that we all can benefit!!

Re: Hello?

I saw your post yesterday but I live in NH I would have dense packed all of the wall bays from the outside with celulous insulation to increase the R value. That information probably would not have helped much in MO

Wow...24 hours.... last I checked everyone on here posts their advice for free at no charge in their limited free time when their not working. Its really no ones job to ensure that you get a response within 24 hours. Although im sure if they started paying members for answering questions the response time would be shortened significantly

I'm sure with that kind of an impatient attitude, you will get the responses you are seeking right away.

Hey, everybody! Leave your jobsite to answer a "just wondering about" post, because Daves question is more important than you making a living.

Cool your jets guy. Maybe nobody that has feedback had time to look at your post yet.

Re: Hello?

HS,

Some of us click the "new post" button and go through the pages to view the new post. You would think that these would be all of the post/threads that occurred since we last checked. Once in a while post will not show up as a new post for some reason.

If you want really quick results post a question on the DIY site, Atlantic and a few of the guys there will answer really quick.

BTW, this site does not have many people that do siding for a living. Some (like me) offer it as an add on sale but do not live eat and breathe siding. Patrick seems to have a good working knowledge about the product lines.

Check out Prodigy, they have a R-5 rating and some cool options. We do not use fan fold and will never go over existing siding.

I figured somebody like you would come along and state it more eloquently than I would have upon my initial reaction to his post.

This forum has a lot of posts, - - I know I can never even keep up with all of them, - - that might even be why, I for one, never even saw the post about (fanfold) that he is referring to.

What it boils down to is that people are free to both read and answer what they want, and when they want, - - but only if they want, - - because if answers were 'required', - - they would have to be paid for . . .

Next time just mention if your windows crank right or crank left, - - and you'll get at least 50% more response . . .

Re: Hello?

Hey Tom,
Thing about politics is they get us nowhere. Doing something for ourselves and our customer does get us both somewhere.
Know what I mean?

Re: Hello?

I saw your post, but had no positive feedback to offer in regards your question.
I can show how to flash a J-channel to evacuate water for the rookies to learn, but I think that was all I had to contribute.

Thank you tinner. I have seen your info on flashing and it has been a help to me.
Wish you the best,
