Re: Harvey "Tribute" Window

Harvey are a bunch of idiots for a few reasons...
1) they sell to any reject who claims to be a contractor.
2)the ppg intercept is actually a "tin plated steel" so i really questions the durability of that spacer. incidentally, most companies that use ppg intercept use a tin plated spacer..why? its much cheaper than stainless steel.
3) the price of a double pane with the fed incentive package is almost as much as the triple pane tribute. are they on drugs!!!
you have to question a window that is double pane and only has a u-factor of .32 which harvy's do. thats my 2 cents.
by the way, they make a beautiful patio door. again, the friggin spacer but i'll give em half a pass on that.

1) I agree, its my biggest complaint
2) OK
3) The Fed Incentive Package is free currently, and that brings the window to a .30 We carry a better brand of vinyl windows that have surpassed the federal incentive requirements for years, but other than them, most manufactures U values are close to that of Harvey's
4) I actually don't like the patio door, although we do sell a lot of them

Re: Harvey "Tribute" Window

Harvey's federal incentiv epackage is a joke (like most window companies). they throw on double lowE. who the hell wants a tinty window. a good window will be under .30 by having a solid frame and a better double pane glass package with only one lowE. harvey uses solarBAN 60 on one pane and solarBAN 70 on the other. what they should do is get rid of that tin plated spacer and use super spacer. that would bring the numbers down.

Re: Harvey "Tribute" Window

they do make one heck of a casement..the harvey casement is very good . i do not like their double hungs but they make a real good casement. i know a few big dealers who offer harvey casements instead of their own brand.
