Filling Small Holes In Vinyl Siding

What's the best way to fill-in/seal-up small holes (nail holes) in vinyl siding?
Thanks in advance

Un zip and replace. Silcon works, but you wont hide much.

No, you use a siding zip tool. It's just a very small cup shaped flat bar. The siding unzips at the locking edge on the bottom of each panel.

Ah, I see
Hmmm...this stuff is ancient and faded
I was just going to remove two downspouts that don't connect to anything
I doubt it's be worth it to replace the siding in those areas, and new stuff won't match that's for sure
-not that the whole place doesn't need it, it definitely needs it
A dozen dots of silicone won't be noticed, I may try that
Thank you

We've used silicone in the past. I tried to use too much then smooth it with a putty knife. Anywhere a screw or nail has been in vynil or aluminum needs to be flattened as best as you can before you attempt to fill it.

Re: Filling Small Holes In Vinyl Siding

try looking in the caulk isle of a box store (i.e. HD)-there is some 'siding' caulk that's not as difficult to work with as silicone and may be paintable and available in popular colors.
