Cut Down A Fiberglass Door


Ihave a customer wants to replace a exterior door in her basement.
the original door is fir cut down to about78'' Has anyone cut down a thermo-tru fiberglass door?There's really no room for a standard 6'8''

Therma-Tru will make custom size doors. There is no reason to have to cut down a door.

Exactly. I always order custom so I've never had to, although I'd imagine there should be enough meat to take off a couple inches. Check with your distributer/rep to make sure.

Go to your lumberyard, Order a door to size, I forget which manufacturer I used because its been awhile since i needed a short door
