Closet Door Idea

Doing a small house and looking for an idea for a closet door. There is a closet that has a useable 88" interior and want to put bigger than a 36" door in. Since the room is so small, it would not be feasable to swing a single 36"+ door in it. I want to take two 20"-26" door slabs and swing them each independantly from opposite sides. I have built doors instead of buying the prehungs before but never done this. If I buy 2 20" doors, what is the rough opening for doing this? Is it 20door+20door+.75jamb+.75jamb+.5gap+.5wiggleroom+. 5wiggleroom=43" rough opening?

42¼" should give you plenty,
if you aren't using an astragal.
Check the size of your slabs,
a 1-8 can be whatever a supplier
wants these days (undersized).
Why not order prehung?

$ Two door slabs cost $19/piece+$50 or so for 1x and material round up to $100. Couple hrs labor comes up to around $200. Pre-hung costs $204. Don't ask me why. Explain to the HO why two $19 slabs cost the same to hang as a $204.
