Cemplank Siding ?

Have Some Questions About Cemplank Siding What Is It And Is It Expensive Per Square And Does It Install Just Like Hard Board Siding ? Any Comments Would Help Thanx

I've never used it but I do think it is a fibercement product.

Installs the same as hardboard siding, pretty much. You will need a special blade for your cutting tool of choice, or else you will not get very far.

We recently did a garage with this type of siding, going into standard wood framing you can use an air nailer, but we also had to side the walkout lower level which was foam-block formed concrete. We applied the siding with decking screws, which worked but proved to be a pain in the arse as well.

Hardiplank fiber cement board. Great product. I use roofing nails 1 7/8" for installation. One coat primer & two coats paint. Make sure to use 5/4 boards on all your corners and for freeze boards at top instead of 1" otherwise siding will stick out as it overlaps.
