Brown vinyl windows

Is there a disadvantage to vinyl windows with a brown colored exterior?
Are white or cream a better choice?

Dark brown vinyl windows will absorb too much heat causing excessive expansion. That is why white & beige are normally the only color options in vinyl windows. In the early days of vinyl window manufacturing there were too many problems with the dark colors.

brown is also going to fade... and not evenly at that on each window and also around the house over time each window will be a different color from that of the next .. it doesnt matter what the sales people tell you they will fade hece why you only see mostly white and beige the fading is minimal and not noticable to the eye.....

Dark colors hold more heat.

Brown doesn't sell much, so few people choose brown. I know of only a few local mfgrs who make/sell brown vinyl. I think I have only sold one job with brown vinyl.
