Re: Best Sealant For Vinyl Replacement In Cold Weather

I use a heated modified poly that works pretty well so long as I keep it warm until it's applied. If it's really cold (0-20) that means a bucket of steaming hot water and switching the tubes out every 10-15 minutes.

I load a couple of gallon jugs
of hot water in a cooler
when I leave home.
Keeps caulk all day if I don't
leave the lid up too long when
I switch out tubes.

Amen on that Neolitic! Regional differences are HUGE as to what we encounter, supply issues, weather, etc, etc, etc.....

WD-40 works great for clean up of OSI and about everything else on a jobsite.

Re: Best Sealant For Vinyl Replacement In Cold Weather

Red Devil makes a few types of caulk which can be applied in bellow freezing temperature. One is Silicone Architectural Grade $5 or less a tube and one is clear HPC caulk.
