Bending A 12' Piece On A 10'6" Brake

has anyone tried bending something longer than the brake? None of my buddy's have a 12'-we all have 10'6" brakes. Even the rental center's I've phoned have the mid-size brake.

I did this all the time when I worked for my father's sheet metal shop. Just start the brake very shallow at one end then slide the material to the other end of the die, do this continually for short brakes until it reaches the degree you need.

Protect the money side, smooth as silk, works great.

cant do that with a slapper as the lever is in the way on the right side. you can with a pro or van mark cam action though. Know any machinists? You can make a long brake out of three pieces of heavy steel angle and have your machinist friend make up the hardware for the pivot ends. or just call around to duct shops and see if they have a twelve.
