Re: Any Good Alternatives To Capping Windows With Aluminum Coil Stock?
would you say the cost of the trim solutions products would be similar to the cost of capping and buying crowns separately?

Re: Any Good Alternatives To Capping Windows With Aluminum Coil Stock?
No, Deff higher. We sometimes wrap and buy just the crowns from them. They make them to our exact sizes so they are a perfect fit, and the screws are hidden behind a snap on freize

Here's a link to how we trim our windows. We bend an under J with metal and snap this over top of it, with a bend locking it into the J

Re: Any Good Alternatives To Capping Windows With Aluminum Coil Stock?
Andersen is launching a new window line with exterior trim options and colors in fiberx, your going to see more of these trim details direct from the manufacturers
you can get them now from most new construction vinyl window companies the days of capping new windows with coil are coming to an end i belive

Funny how you use the term hack. Just because you don't approve of capping a window with aluminum is no reason to use names. Your definition is funny, because you are in a thread with at least 2 companies that do the window capping correctly and don't have this rot that you do with wood windows. In fact. I think I will call you a hack for selling a product that you know is eventually going to rot. How does it feel? ![]() By the way, I have had occasion to fix or change windows on houses that have had windows capped right, guess what? No rot! ![]() So hack, how does it feel to sell an inferior product that you know is going to rot??
