Aluminum scrap prices?

What is aluminum scrap paying in your area? We went from $.75/lb. to $.25 in a matter of a few months.

same thing here, I only got 35 cents a pound two weeks ago,,and the yard was practically empty of aluminum scrap. I went on line to find the dealers got rid of what they could as fast as possible because of the price plummeting. Also recycling contractors for towns are trying to renegotiate or back charge municipalities because they are losing money picking up curbside recycling.

In Montreal is (was a week ago) 0.25 for siding, 0.45 for clean extrusions. You can fire a cannon through the scrap yard and not hit anybody.

No doubt the price of siding and windows will follow? Yeah, right.
