Advice With Casement Window Replacement

I'm going to be replacing 14 casement windows for a 1920's bungalow with stucco exterior.

Basically, I'm looking for exact replacements. The casements are about 20" X 57", 8 panes (8" X 12 1/2").

Definately want wood with upgraded glass (Low E).

Planning on going with Pella.

Any suggestions and tips?

Thanks.

Not sure what kind of tips you're looking for, but I will say that many window companies are offering a free low E upgrade right now. Make sure you take advantage of that!

I've used Pella. Had some problems and they got their tech out quick, all three times. Wish I didn't have the issues in the first place.

I have a custom guy that does a great job, and isn't more $$ then the big boys (Pella, Sierra Pacific, etc...). On a job like this I'd use him.

Thanks. I hit Norco (http://www.guidetowindows.com/7x/res...ected=Resource).

They couldn't help me out.

Looks like a great resource for homeowners though.

Good to know. They have great marketing...but I'm smart enough to not go by marketing alone.

Don't do it unless you like installing the worst rated window in the last consumer report window guide! Check out another company here in Vermont called Green Mountain windows. Jeld-wen is going down hill IMO. They've gotten cheap on labor and middle management at the plant in Ludlow VT and the product is showing it in tests. They do make some beautiful doors though!

Alside windows is one offering the free upgrade right now. When I see my supplier tomorrow I'll find out the others
