Water treatment facility
These are some pics i took of a water treatment facility i am working at. I am working for another sub-contractor that was hired under another GC. I have expressed my concern over the condition of the wiring and have pushed for repair but was shot down. The management of this condo complex states it is how it has been all along and see's no point or need for repair. I am installing a new service enterance in the new addition that was built for a new water tank. The old elec panel will become a sub panel and i will be installing a 3ph invertor to power the new booster pump " thank you Mr Mike for your assistance". I had to bring in my inspector to fail the utility pole as it is very unsafe due to being at least 20-25 yrs old, only about 6' in diameter at the bottom and 4" at the top, it is in a swamp, and the guy wire is just a peice of rope. I went about 10' up it on a step ladder and it sways terrible and was snapping/cracking under its load. I outright refused to put a ladder against it. So now the sub-contractor and i are jumping hurdles trying to convince the management to approve a new utility pole. Enjoy the pics, hopefully they are clear. I will be posting pics over in the plumbing section too.

I gave it some thought of posting pics but it was Mr Mike who talked me into it, he was quite ammused by these working conditions.

I guess if duct tape cant fix it then its not worth fixing . They could just "sweep" the problem under the rug but they used the broom head and the handle for bracing .

I can hear it now, "well everything works and I don't want to stick a lot of money in the place."
If only we could get paid for hearing that. Great pictures, thanks for sharing.

This must be what they mean when they say handymen shouldn't do electrical work.
