A shower for when you need to wake up!

Here you go guys, heres something I found the other day demoing a bathroom. It looks like the HO add an outlet in the bedroom, just figured run a little lamp cord across the attic down an open pocket, drill a hole in the wall and put a cord end on it! I wish I would have got a picture of the cord end, my batteries were dieing , it was an extra heavy duty hubbel end The wires were wrapped around the pipes and it looks like the wire melted and stuck to the back of the pipe. As you can see the bare wire was touching the pipe, luckily it was the neutral.

After I untangled the wires.

luckily it was the neutral

But not so lucky for a plumber....

In a 2-wire 120 volt circuit, the neutral will carry the same amount of current as the ungrounded (hot) conductor. Here, part of that return current was returning to it's source (the power companys transformer) by way of the copper pipe. I agree with oldfart - this was a very dangerous situation.
