A little of both. As a rule, if the cable reaches the box, it goes in the box. If it doesn't, I'll put in a junction box up above and in a place where it can't noticeably be seen, then run a new homerun to the panel. On this job, i had approximately (8) BX cables that didn't reach, mostly because 5 of them came from the old, old federal box.

The 14/3 romex cables on the right of the panel are for those new homeruns feeding existing circuits. The 12/3 romex cable is for the first floor bath GFCI (new) and for the new exterior recepotacle GFCI receptacle next to the new A/C condensor. The 10/2 is for the new A/C condensor.

Looks good!

What size is the large white romex (?) entering the top center KO? Is that feeding the 2nd fl sub-panel?

Yup.

It was a ninety foot cut of 4/3 copper. It cost $290.00. I used 3/4" emt straps and secured under the floor joists in the basement, up through the vent stack to the attic, to it's final location at the bottom of the attic staircase. It's under a 90 amp double-pole circuit breaker.

Not inside the vent stack, I hope.

I had a foreman once who wanted me to fish a wire inside the plumbing vent stack so there were no holes cut. Thank God the GC overheard him and shot that one down.

Up along side the vent stack... I should have chosen my words more carefully.

Would that be a damp location or a wet location?

I did mis-speak. I meant the radon stack. So, a dry location...

Still, I'm glad that was nipped in the bud.
