compressing photo files

Ok, I'll admit it. I'm kind of slow on the technology front. I have some pictures I'd like to post, but they exceed the site's maximum. I have jpg picture files and would like to share them. Any one tell me how to compress them so they'll fit? FYI, running XP. Make it simple. Thanks in advance!

photobucket.com

It will do all the work for you as well as host the images.

On of the "options" for resizing is to fit msg boards.

....and it's FREE.
