awful looking service
I noticed this while sitting at a traffic light, snapped a picture with the awesome iPhone (notice the side view mirror?).
I dunno about you, but me, I would have put just a little kick in the PVC and turned the LB a little sideways and made it look a little better than this. But hey, that's just me. I'm guessing maybe he didn't have a heat pad, gun, or one of those wickedly cool Greenlee hot boxes. Either way, that looks like hell.

Maybe he was trying to take eyes away from that foundation color.
Or the giant tumor growing out of it.

That's a pretty clear picture for a cell phone. By the way, how do you keep your phones in good shape while on the job? My phones always get trashed.

This house is trash. The whole block is trash. I drive down this road to avoid traffic on the main road. I believe the house recently changed ownership and the new owner is putting some money into it. The painted red foundation is also new. The gutter, I don't know. The house is crap, did I say that already?
My phone doesn't scratch because it's made by Apple, a superior computer company. You can do a You Tube search and see for yourself that it's practically scratch resistant.

I like how the paint goes down to about 2" above the sidewalk then abruptly stops.

Don't know how they got that locknut tightened up inside the box with that angle of the conduit. Wouldn't think the connector or the locknut is flush to the box ???? Well they have it well clamped though!!
After a second look the fitting does look flush, so I would think the conduit is off cockeyed & not very far in the fitting.

Don't you see the little angled pad of concrete on the sidewalk right below it? That's to splash the water right across the sidewalk.
In cold weather it creates a sort of ice rink. This provides hours of entertainment for folks sitting in the house watching.

I think that is a "Meter offset" - see page 177 - http://www.carlon.com/Master%20Catal..._40_and_80.pdf
