One day, I'll get a few pics. I know of 4-5 2-story buildings that the entire rear wall was remove for additions on the rear. And NARY a support beam or even posts. One was a medical building and the danger was so imminent, I had the BI come by and close it down. The 'call' was because the built-in gutter was leaking. Most of the rear windows were broken. Center of house down 8". New 4" crown under gutter split in half on both ends.

Wow, that is scary. Hope no one gets hurt in the long run. The awful thing is that that stuff happens way too often and people get away with it and think it is ok. I lost my breath when I saw those were Jeld Wen windows. I'm going to use Jeld Wen on my addition, but they will be aluminum clad Siteline. Hope they look better than those vinyl ones.
