Re: Starting First Build Job

My head hurts just looking at your plans for building that. Done a couple like it a few years ago (when me and my guys used to frame - we stick with remodeling now), won't do another one for anything. The roof systems waste time, money and space. Yeah they look nice from the curb, but not practical at all. You can frame 3 similiar sized houses with simple plans in the same time. I know, some subdivisions require #'s of gables before you can build there etc. - waste of money IMO. The next house I ever build again will be for me and I have better things to do with $20,000.00+ then put a fancy cut up roof on it. But, alot of people out there have the money to spend on that sort of stuff I guess. Not me. Good luck with it, I did enjoy doing the first couple, but burned out quick on them after that. They do help fill the portfolio with some good pictures too.
