Looks like a great project. I'll be anxious to see how it turns out.

You know damn well you didn't mention there were two pools, you're just showing off.

Looks sweet, bigger pictures!

WOW

Looks like you had to get the big guns out there to take down the 2 pools (did you mention that there are 2 pools) Change Order in process!

I'll be following this development for sure and yes bigger pic's needed. That going to be one heck of a retaining wall from what I see of those footing's.

Re: Let Me Try This Again

Sorry about the picture size. I thought it would be better to make them smaller.

Wyoming- yes, the key is to lock it in place. The footing is 15" thick.

Details on this job- 160 lf of RW. 14' at the highest point. 1/3 will have two small herb planters, and a spa sitting on top of the footing. The center 1/3 section is rasied, and it will have a 900 sf cabana built on it. In this section the footing will serve as the sub slab. The last 1/3 is for storage and pool equipment room. In this area the footing is the finished floor.

Best part....the HO is a contractor! I have to say the difference between him, and the PITA we had at our last project is night and day!

J-builder- the CO for the pool was nothing compared to the cost of relocating the spa...after the slab had been poured. I'll post pics of the guys demoing the spa later. So sad.

Jo, my fav grader. Standing next to a piece of the pool.

Cabana- no key, the cabana will extend out an additional 12ft ish. Eventually the pool will sit in front of the cabana.

Re: Let Me Try This Again

Sorry it took so long. My computer took a vacation. I can't believe the difference in my day when I don't have a computer. Not sure if it's better, or worse. Anyways...

Change order...spa needs to move. Usually I hate big changes, but this was such a good choice. Now they can enjoy the view while sitting in the hot tub. Too bad they didn't catch it before we poured.

Demo...

The view

Forms for first pour....

Spa area after change order.

Getting ready for second pour... cabana

planter area before second pour

Second pour went great. Starting to take down the forms. It may sound crazy, but I love this part!

We've finished the wall and have started the waterproofing. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Re: Let Me Try This Again

I love the way the walls look. If I could own 5 houses, one would be modern with exposed concrete walls just like these. I think it looks cool.

Let the waterproofing begin...
