A Few More Pictures Of My Project

We have been battling through the snow and cold. What a lousy time to start a building, in late October in Northern Utah. This job sits in a wind tunnel, too. It is right at the mouth of a canyon and every morning until about noon the wind just howls out of the canyon. All my crew has been doing is shoveling snow and building tents for the mason. We build tents as soon as the wind dies down, the mason works in them, and then the next day the re-inforced visqueen is in shreads and we do it all over again.

Finally getting some iron up:

It's a 2-story building so there will be a concrete deck over those joists.Boiler room below and air handler room above. These walls will top out at 32' 8.:

The elevator sits back in here, beyond the opening that the 2x4's are holding up. I hate elevators. Naw, that's not true. I hate the State elevator inspector:

A couple of the masons. What's the joke-What's your neighbors' sleazy daughter have in common with a brick? Eventually they'll both be laid by a Mexican.

That was rude. How non-PC of me. Oh well.

Reminds me of a time working in South Kearney which sits on a peninsula on the Jersey side not far from the Hudson River that lasted from January-March. Coldest job I ever worked on. Guys from Winnipeg, Manitoba might laugh at that but it was the coldest job I ever worked on.

Brrrrrrrrrrr.
