2 Arbors I finished today...
Here are a couple of arbors I finished off today. I had nothing to do with the design. Personally, I'm not a fan of the design but it was done according to the landscape designer's specs.

Nice as always!
Now how the hell did they get a vine to grow up the first one so fast?

Thanks for all the compliments!
As for the questions:
The grape vine was being held up previously by a temporary steel contraption they had there. The inside top of the "grape" arbor actually has a grill constructed of 2x2's.
Timing, kinda hard to say actually as the time was spaced out over a period of time. All the wood was dried prior to being sanded and stained (2 coats) and assembled. Everything except the top beams were assembled on site. If I had to give a time frame for the actual work, I would say a week or so. Other than digging and setting the 8 posts, we were only on site a couple of days.
The owners are Italian - not sure about the designer though...

A good price for a great product...
Nice job, man! Bummer that you couldn't talk them into your design tweaks but hey, sometimes that's how it goes! I've built a few things that wouldn't ever go in my backyard but the HO loved them - that's what's important.

I like arbors, these are pretty fancy, I hope the rain doesn't get in behind all those joints...I'm sure it won't. ......now I want to go build one....I just need somewhere to put it ..... Anybody need an arbor ?
