This thread was doomed from the start. I get bummed sometimes looking at all the squalor that we build for the megarich.

But it is fun to build it!

Re: What Price Would You Put On A TV?

I have two wide screen TVs. The first one I got for $2400 and it was a true HD as opposed to ED. 40" LCD. Not a real impressive TV IMHO and the wife made me keep it. We had a small 15" LCD in the bedroom and I wanted to upgrade that. I got an Insignia 32" for about $700. Fantastic TV, plasma. The nicest thing is gets HD TV through my standard enhanced basic cable.

I took a Auto Cad course awhile ago and learned about flash drives, you know those little things that are smaller than a pack of gum that can store thousands of pictures or songs. I asked a fellow student (kid) why do we still use DVDs and CDs when you can store so much on something so little with nothing to get scratched or wear out. He matter of factly replied that the music and movie business would go broke.

Nice job on the cabinetry Gus.

I love the chaos, It's a beautiful thing.

Eventually I'll spill the beans on the total price tag

After some thought Leo, I've decided you can adopt me. So where's my room and how much allowance do I get?

Can I get a gas card for my scooter too?

That's his cheap clients who can afford $10K of sod but can't afford to water it.

That must be it, I accused him of drinking on another thread when he was talking to fish that waged their tails at him.

Sorry Bob.

Where has this thread gone..........

Bob,
How you can stumble into a topic and get and get this crew rolling in a completely different direction,is a comedy routine all it's own.

Thanks for the laughs

In the past, I have likened Bob's posts to a car wreck. It totally disrupts the flow, but you have to slow down and take a look!

TV: 4500

Componets: 3000

Game systems: 1000

Guess on cables, sat. equipt., skeakers: 3500

Total 12k. They have an easy 10k, probably pushing 12k.

I have about 9k in my set up. Some of the stuff is getting old but, still sounds as good if not better than the day I bought it.

It's Jersey though.
Some where else, that might
be odd.

The electronics was about 25 G's.

Total job about 50 grand.

After standing there watching and listening to it, I must say if I had that kind of coin to drop on gear like that I would do it.

The sweetest thing I ever heard and the picture was freakishly clear.

I would ditch the box it is in though.
