You did a killer job on the deck. I just dont think that style deck goes with the back yard. You have a railing and then a fence right there. I think it would of looked a metric ton better if you could of gotten the deck lower to the ground with a permiter steps around the entire thing to advoid railings.

Yeah, it was huge for the yard but the HO wanted it that large. They wanted just enough space to easily walk between the deck and the fence. We could've gone without railings on two sides, but HO wanted them. They will be landscaping and making a garden in the corner where all our junk is piled right now.

Only thing is we couldn't have gone any lower on the deck (well, maybe 2-3")
