Carpentry rules - it's like not even really working, really.

Now electrical, that's work.

Especially in one of my framing jobs, I am not afraid to use the wood. I do however stack my nails all the way to the top cause I hate wrecking bits as much as you and the plumbers do.

I would think a handheld router 'd do you right - is your only one buried in the table?

TBF Ghost,

When you are making some of those parts, keep in mind that if you think you may be making more of these things, you may as well make several of the parts.

The cost of the materials is usually not a factor, and it is as easy to make 12 as it is 2.

Having said that, I have about 144' of handrail in my garage...

The thought did cross my mind, however I made that with left over materials from other jobs so the material was not in abundance, if I made more I will have to buy some material so I might make a few copies while I am there....if nothing else I will be using them in my home.

Here's a couple I'm working on for my current project. The shelfing unit is actually an access panel for the water shut/off / Meter first, and a shelf second. The other is a access for under stair storage made of MDF. The door sits flush with the drywall when closed, with euro hinges and a magnetic push latch. Just push the panel, and the door swings open. Its all trimmed up now, I just haven't taken a pic yet, but it looks pretty slick all finished up.
