Looks good! We always wish everything worked out, but often, our main job is to make it look good, to "create the illusion of perfection" You are doing great.

You made the right decision, some times we need to mock up these extras. It is the little details like this that make the project look as though it was planned rather than accidental. You can almost never have to many mouldings, almost!
Great job.

Alright Moderator, can we cut this guy off from the Smilies (Emoticons)? That improvisation would not make anyone ill. Quite the contrary.

Thank you for the compliment. I treat paint grade with as much care as stain grade. It makes it look so much better without gobs of caulk.
I worked with a carpenter named Paintgrade. I think his last name was Gobsofcaulk. Come to think of it.... I'm not really sure he was a carpenter. I think he was more of an alcohol powered beaver.

Nice compliment to the column/beam. Dresses it up and makes it look more elegant.

If it wasnt done, it wouldnt look good with the crown.

Details are what separates men from the boys in this business.

Everybody can't like it. They all have their own tastes. Personally I like it. Good job Kent.
