Old Framing Pics

Here’s some photo’s from my old framing days:

Del Mar: 245 units

Placentia: 120 Units

South Coast Plaza - 120 Units

Bakersfield Courtyard - 200 Room Hotel

Big Island Timbers- 13 High End homes

Lots more but it's a lot of work scanning these dang things in.

Re: Old Framing Pics

These roofs consisted of Hand hewn 8X8 WRC, milled and precut in Canada. After the material showed up in Hawaii, it was assembled on site and erected. 365 6X6 purlins went up next, and that was covered with 2X6 T&G, a layer of 1/2" ply, 3" ridged foam insulation, covered with another layer of 1/2" ply held down with 5,000 4 1/2" screws. The roof system was Jiffy Seal covered with copper standing seam.

The total package including shipping to Hawaii, taxes, import taxes, misc. structures(cart structures, gates, fence material was around 200k per lot. We built 13 of these particular units, and in fact are still working on them.

These guys are real Timber Structure Artists! Check out their stuff.

I'm out of Hawaii for a couple years to work in the Bahamas. It's a lot different here...

Very nice work there Rusty. I've been on a few jobs where we've had more than a few people, but not that many. Maybe 60 or so. gotta love production!
