My First Photo Post

...Its nothing fantasic but I am currently helping out an old co-worker on mine who bought a modular home....and since day one has had a nightmare of a problems with it. He got rid of the crew that was working on it and took on most of it himself however he fell way behind and the bank is now becoming upset with him because it is taking so long to finish. He called me in to help him out...so I have been doing some punch list work around there... It is a nice relaxing job where I cut my rate for an old friend and there is no time rush, he buys lunch, his daughters do all the clean-up work and I get to just work at a nice pace. If I need something he buys it and I really have no thinking work to do, he tells me how he would like things to look and I just do it that way. I have been doing most of the finish work.....

I got the whole pre-assembly thing from Gary Katz and it works great...much faster and easier to hang jambs and hollow core doors...

Really? I figured this size was good for most people, fits great on a few different computers I have, but good to know.

It ain't how big it is, it's what you do with it.

If you have your screen resolution set to 1024 x 768 (a very common setting), those pics are indeed too big.

IMO, 640 x 480 is the optimum size for posting pics, here or in email. Unless you happen to know that your recipient has teenage eyes and a screen res set to some insanely high number.

Re: My First Photo Post

Yes, thank you. Part of the railing anyway, I finished what was left which was the three sections on the 2nd floor. Basically, the trim upstairs I did...except a few window jambs...

This is the only "Close up" of the railing. I was making a batch of window stools at the moment. Just a real simple round over on each side to match the downstairs of the home. The older Craftsman 1HP router was my grandfathers. It has a nice wooden case with locking lid he built....it's not the best...but I like it for the sole reason it was my grandfather's who was a carpenter back in his day.

I have a 17" monitor here, and the res is set around 1280 x 1024, the highest my computer allows....so are the masses telling me to downsize?

EDIT: I just bumped the photos down to 800x640 is that any better?

The pics are good for me, on the 15" laptop and the 20" desktop.

Re: My First Photo Post

Here is a bed frame I am been slowly working on...I need to create two little fillet pieces for under to top cap on left and right. Then I need to make the foot board and side rails....and i have no idea why it looks so out of proportion in the photo but it is sized for my bed...I don't know what to finish it out of tho...I have been told poly by one and laquer by another...Don't mind the helmets...i was messing with my gear...

Maybe he likes it rough

There's two types of motorcyclists
Those that have been down
and
Those that are going down

Sorry for the highjack
Nice work TBF. Hope you make the bank happy. Nice of you to pitch in for a friend.
