My first house

My daughter comes to me and says "Daddy, would you build me a house?" and, being the huge sucker for her that I am, I say "Sure, honey."

So here it is, my first whole house job.

I had to scrounge through the truck and my toolboxes just to find enough shims to finish it

Good job on the house. It must be a nice feeling to kick back and enjoy quality time with the family.

Hopes she gets years of enjoyment out of it. Well done Shane

Ty guys, it was fun. My daughter was very excited about being able to help me build something. Although once I started using the saws she elected to just watch from far away

And the first row is not doubled up. Paper?

If you get a CO the inspector must be your drinking buddy.

Congrats on your happy client

Don't think just cause it was for family that she won't eventually contact a lawyer and sue!

Good job man. I have the best time working with my youngest daughter on all kinds of things.
