Log home that I built.

This is a home I built eight years ago. Took pics the other day. This was my first log home so take it easy on me log dudes. I was the G.C. on this job and I (and my crew) did all the wood on this job and let me tell you there was a lot of it. We did the logs, framing, log siding, sikkens stain (three coats), interior trim, cabinets, shingles, wood ceilings, decks, and built in stereo. This place has an r-30 rating in the walls. There were no plans for the stairway just a pile of logs. This is what I came up with.

You built my retirement home in the wrong state. It should be in SW Colorado.
Nice work

That's awesome!

I see a lot of these "custom" log cabin models on Int. 95 in southern Virginia when I'm down that way. I'm going down next week i think this time I'm gonna stop and marvel at the workmanship. Must be the natural look and feel of the wood but damn log cabins are awesome.

Job Well Done!
