I promised some pics from my warped corner cabinet thread. I did not get 100%. It's a mess in there right now. Sawdust, wood chips, plaster chunks.....not the way I like seeing it. Once I get things done tomorrow, I'll take lots of detail shots. I have myself a sweet dSLR camera with a 14 mp resolution. This photo is merged from 4 pictures. A gigantic one is here if anyone cares to see it in extreme detail.
That's a wall sub woofer under the desk if you're curious.
Oh yeah, the crown is bumped out like that because there's a movie screen that comes down from the ceiling there.

NICE!
I like the look of a base cab that stands out and gives the whole unit some depth instead of just a flat wall of cabs.
What type of wood? Maple?

Looks like curly/tiger maple to me. Looks like he used a pigmented stain, not my favorite choice for curly woods. Overall, looks nice.

I think I drooled a bit over that wall subwoofer idea.
And Jeebus Creebus, you weren't kidding when you said gigantic.
Nice looking stuff.
Are those more speakers in the ceiling?

Yeah, that screen is way, way, way too big for this room. Speakers in the ceiling, yes.
Curly maple, tiger maple, whatever it's called is the material selected.

A guy would have a tough time knowing the troubles you had with that corner cabinet by looking at that picture.
I knew my money was safe betting on you.
Now pay up suckers, you know who you are.
I should have got Bass to hold the money

Awesome. The crown molding really sets it off.
How long does it take to build something like that?

What's the deal with the finish? The stain looks all effed up. I love the cabinets, but I'd be pretty sore if I got a finish like that on work I was paying for.

I see what youre talking about on the crown, if its the small 22 1/2s where you didnt have room to make a full solid piece work , (as in the top of the small piece isnt wide enough to make a full cut,you had to cut the very top of the longer pieces to meet at the top and use the small 22 1/2 piece as kind of a filler for what the longer ones couldnt do,.....did that make sense?) and its all I could ever do . Its a dual angle or cut is what I call it.
Rightious!

The only problem i can see is the fact my eyes would get distracted from the tv to the tiger maple and amazing cabinets.

Damn that's a lot of pictures! I share your enthusiasm with the digi-cam, I got mine about a year ago and take pics with it nearly everyday.
I noticed the speakers the first time around and thought the same thing, "that was close".
